August-November 2013 Ithaca, NY Prepared/harvested vegetables at Wild Apple Farms for the Ithaca Farmer's Market. During the Saturday market I helped at the Wild Apple Farm's stand distributing produce, handling money, and serving to a diverse group of people.
Completed June 2013 Ithaca, NY "This program combines wilderness survival skills & bioregional knowledge with the most effective tools of mentoring.Upon completion, you will receive a certificate from Cornell Cooperative Extension reflecting up to 160 hours of dirt time and a demonstration of standard competencies valued in the fields of primitive technology and outdoor education."
Fall 2010-May 2013 An Ithaca College campus job focused upon creating environmental awareness and education. I helped to run a Take It or Leave It (TIOLI) center on campus where students can bring items or take anything from the TIOLI center for free. We also ran an office re-use center, and spread awareness about recycling and composting during campus events and throughout the year, and I helped to run several events centered around environmental awareness.
January 2013, Winston- Salem, North Carolina The the Ithaca College Habitat for Humanity group I volunteered one week with Winston-Salem, North Carolina branch of Habitat for Humanity. Projects included refurbishing an older home by tearing up old carpeting, painting, and setting down a tiled floor. We also assisted in creating picture frames from re-used wood.
Received my Wilderness First Aid certification through SOLO on March 3, 2013.

Living Routes Study Abroad in Auroville, India Spring 2012 Four month study abroad experience in the southern state of Tamil Nadu, India, in the eco-community of Auroville. Course work involved four classes entitled Body, Mindy, and Spirit, Group Dynamics, Service Learning Project (in which I participated on a biodynamic farm for 6 weeks), and Global to Local Sustainability.
